Playing in a duet significantly diversifies and enhances the learning process.
Initially, the teacher plays the notes on the upper staff, while the student plays the notes on the
lower staff. Once the student masters their parts, they can switch roles. By returning to the
beginning of the book, the student now plays the upper melody line, which the teacher previously
played. This way, the material in the book can be utilized twice.
